The Auctions sponsored by the Golden Triad Watchmakers Guild (GTWG) have gained recognition as some of the best-operated auctions of their kind. We have made an effort over the years to keep rules to a minimum, benefits to buyers and sellers at a maximum, and fun as a guideline. The auction attracts folks from a wide geographical area and includes people who know the horological business well, and those who know practically nothing about the field (i.e. widows and children of deceased horologists). In an effort to continue this tradition of quality, it is necessary for us to present these rules and guidelines. Remember, the GTWG bears all the expenses and provides all the work of presenting this auction. We fully expect your cooperation with us as we strive to keep this one of the best auctions of its kind.

Rules
- Only active members of the GTWG or their designees may wear the red vests. We are here to help.
- Once the Auction begins only red-vested pickers are allowed to handle Auction items. If you need a closer look, get a red vested guide.
- Once a box is numbered and put in the Auction viewing area no one, including red-vested pickers, is allowed to remove any items from that box except the Auctioneer (to benefit the seller) who has the right to remove or combine items brought to the Auction Podium after he has announced such to the group.
- Items brought to this Auction are to be sold at this Auction (unless a “No Sale” is declared by the seller).
- All sales incur a 20% seller’s premium which is deducted from the amount the item sells for during the auction.
- No private sales are allowed at this auction. Items usually bring more under competitive bidding than private sales.
- Buyers must pay for their purchases before they leave the auction.
- Bidder or seller $10 dollar fee.
- The GTWG Has the option to merge lots of same owner.
Guidelines
- Sellers: We suggest that all items be marked with a two-part number to help identify the item/box for buyers (i.e.: An item marked “13-5” indicates item #5 of seller #13).
- Buyers: Make sure your purchase tickets match what you purchased. Make sure you take what you bought. If you check out early, make sure all your purchase tickets have reached the cashier, including the last item you bought.
- If you notice anyone rearranging any items or any items in boxes or any other suspicious or inappropriate activity, please contact someone in a red vest.
- If you are being pressured to make a private sale and want relief from the pressure, please contact someone in a red vest.
- Don’t Mess with Mac!!
